It Will Happen

In my last post, I shared that our health insurance company refused to cover Sawyer's genetic testing.  I did not realize until after so many people responded to this post that, in my attempt to communicate disappointment and frustration with our health insurance company, I actually sounded rather hopeless.

Karen and I are far from hopeless.  We have full confidence, along with our doctor, Sawyer will get these tests one way or the other.  It may not happen right away, but it will happen.

Thank you to those who offered to help and intervene on our behalf.  At this point, we are following the lead of our doctor.  She is a force to be reckoned with all by herself.  However, we will not hesitate to ask for help when the time is right.

It is very encouraging and reassuring to know that so many people care so much.  Our family has a lot to be grateful for.  Thank you for praying, caring, and fighting this battle with us!

What an inspiration you and your family are! I am so sorry that you are having to go through all of this and I just can't wait for the day when you are talking about this trying time in the past tense and Sawyer is well and back to just being a kid again! Your faith is amazing! What a special little guy, who no doubt is touching so many lives, both in the medical community, as well as all of us followers! I appreciate that you are sharing these personal trials with us so that we can be informed and know specifically what to pray for. I know that it can't be easy, even just finding and taking the time is such a huge deal. I just think back when we were in the youth department at Alexander Baptist, and now here we are both with 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl, and both going through challenges with our youngest boys! I just wanted to let you know that I am very proud of the man, husband, and father that you have become! God bless you and your family!
Love,
Terrie

You didn't sound hopeless to us brother. We understand the frustration and see it as just that. You have no reason to apologize for expressing frustration. We know your heart and know your faith in our Lord to bring about his will. Your optimism has been a shining example to everyone who's life you've touched. The Persons will continue to stand with you and your family.
